What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by websites you visit. Local storage is a similar browser technology that stores data locally. This site uses both.
How We Use Cookies and Local Storage
We categorise our use of cookies and local storage into three groups:
Strictly Necessary
These are required for the site to function correctly. They cannot be disabled.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
cookie_consent | localStorage | Stores your cookie consent preferences | 365 days |
Analytics (requires consent)
These help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. They are only activated if you consent.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Cookie | Google Analytics — distinguishes unique visitors | 2 years |
_ga_* | Cookie | Google Analytics — maintains session state | 2 years |
Analytics data is anonymised. IP anonymisation is enabled in our Google Analytics configuration.
Marketing (requires consent)
These may be used in future for delivering relevant content and measuring campaign effectiveness. Currently, no marketing cookies are in use.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| — | — | No marketing cookies currently active | — |
How to Manage Your Preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the link below:
Manage cookie preferences — click the “Manage cookie preferences” link in the footer of any page to update your settings.
You can also find this link in the footer of every page.
How to Clear Cookies via Your Browser
You can delete cookies through your browser settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Clear browsing data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, Search and Services → Clear browsing data
Clearing cookies will reset your consent preferences and the banner will appear again on your next visit.
Do Not Track
If your browser sends a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal, all optional cookie categories default to off. You will still see the consent banner, but no analytics or marketing storage will be activated unless you explicitly opt in.
